Hair Color
It
is recommended to obtain a consultation for your first time hair
color. Whether your hair has been previously color treated or
not, it is important to make an analysis of the hair condition, the
target color you would like to achieve, along with recommendations
from your stylist. Your stylist will discuss the time
involved, maintenance required, and the cost.
Goldwell
Hair Color is the color system used in the salon. By
far it is the ultimate in hair coloring. We often use Compuchic,
a hair color computer system which helps formulate the best color
for your particular hair type. Compuchic also prescribes a
home maintenance program which can be printed out for you to take
home.

Touch
Up (up to 6 weeks)
It
is recommended to obtain a color touch up 4-6 weeks from your initial hair
color. Your hair color will look its best when it is maintained
within this time frame.

Touch
Up (up to 8 weeks)
Touch
ups that are maintained up to an 8 week period require more
attention. Due to the rate of hair growth, the hair is often
extremely faded, more porous, and much more new growth. This
requires more hair color used and time involved for the entire
process. Therefore the cost of the service is increased. It is
much more cost-effective to keep up with a 4-6 week touch up, and your hair
will look its best.

Colorance
A
semi-permanent color to enhance your natural color. It gives
the hair more color and balance. Colorance is great for the
ends of hair during your touch up. It has conditioning
properties for a gentler approach to the porous ends.
Colorance is also great after your perm, it replenishes color and
hues to your hair that the perm sometimes takes away. Gives
great shine, body and healthy hair.

Balance
Colorance,
with a touch up. All touch ups will benefit with the addition
of Colorance to the ends of hair. Colorance conditions,
adds more shine, and is gentler to the porous ends. Your hair
will show the results when maintained with Colorance because it does
not contain ammonia which often fades the hair. Colorance is
suggested for every touch up.

Cap
Highlighting
This
is the process of lightening hair by pulling strands of hair through the
holes of a plastic cap. This is usually recommended for hair that is
short to medium length and layered, since it can be uncomfortable with
longer hair. The results are very nice, especially on layered cuts.

Foil
Highlights
Foil
highlights are recommended for medium to long hair. The
process is done by weaving thin sections of hair onto a foil paper
and wrapped with a lightener or hi-lift color. Foil highlights
can be done to anyone who wants to accent their hair color or hair
design. The results are beautiful and can be very creative.

Tortoise
Shell
Using
foils, usually 2-3 colors on medium to dark hair color. Clients
with dark hair sometimes shy away from highlights because they think
of Blonde. Tortoise shells are shades of honey, browns, and
red that enhance dark hair beautifully.
